The mission of the Community Relations Office is to facilitate communication between the School Division and the residents of Prince William County and to convey the educational advantages of Prince William County Public Schools.

To accomplish this, information on school and Division news and programs is disseminated to the public through the PWCS Web site, social media, news media outlets, and the School Division's daily electronic news service, PWCS E-News.

The Information Guide gives an overview of the school division and includes a description of instructional programs, graduation requirements, grading scales, a list of schools, and other information helpful to new students and families in the Prince William County School Division.

The Prince William County school division is seeking individuals who would like to be guest speakers with respect to their jobs, hobbies, skills, travels, or other expertise. Parent Volunteers are needed to help out in Prince William County Schools in the areas of math and science. Retired persons are needed to help with reading skills in classrooms K–3.
